On behalf of the Sankara family, I have immense pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you. This website is supposed to be the mirror image of what we are, what we stand for and what we aspire to be in future. Ours is a co-educational school, with many students on its rolls. The school considers education to be a lifelong process, which should have a strong foundation with English as the medium of instruction and teaching Sloka, moral values, Hindi and Sanskrit, 1their rightful place in the curriculum. The school also aims at keeping the students with the intellectual and practical skills and emphasis laid on imbibing our culture, heritage and traditions.

In present times culminating factor of our existence lies in education and we ensure every way possible, to make our students fit into the fast changing and progressive world. We are witnessing unparalleled changes in every field, where the strongest and fittest is accepted and appreciated.

 We strongly believe that education can be adapted and made more effective in rearing the students to face and to overcome different social challenges. Also we believe that every child has the right to be educated and cared for as an individual. We believe that each child will be able to develop his or her abilities under proper and responsible guidance.

It is not a building or imposing structure that makes an institution different from the rest, it is their quality, dedication and the toil put in by its management and the staff that gets its recognition and it is true in respect of this Institution. Education of the highest quality and the greatest gift that parents can give their children. That is very much valued by our school and with dedicated, experienced teachers and excellent infrastructure our School helps students to realize their goals.

The parents are the most strengthening power in moulding the future of children. Their consistent support empowers us to do more and more. I pay my gratitude to them for their faith in us. I am confident enough that the SANKARA students will make themselves stronger day by day, adding a new leaf to the grandeur of the school. With great reverence, I thank the Trustee, Secretary and the Coordinators for their untiring efforts and commitments. At the end, I would like to extend my best wishes to all our students, staff, parents and alumni.

My association with Sri Sankara :

 My teaching career begun in Sri Sankara Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, M.G. Road Campus, as Primary Teacher in 2001. Held various positions like Section Head, Headmistress for Nursery at Rangapillai Street Campus, Head Teacher for stds I & II . Later promoted as High School Teacher in the year 2011 and became Headmistress in 2014 and with the blessings of Goddess Kamakshi and all the Periyava’s Kanchi Peetam promoted as Principal in  the year 2018.
